Understanding box economics, published odds, and Expected Value (EV)
How Expected Value (EV) is calculated for each mystery box, published probability tables, and our commitment to an 85% to 97% EV ratio.
The Expected Value Guarantee
Every box on Loop'D clearly displays its Expected Value (EV) alongside its purchase price. EV represents the mathematically weighted average value of all items in the prize pool multiplied by their respective draw probabilities: EV = Σ (Probability × FMV).
By policy, every mystery box on Loop'D maintains an EV between 85% and 97% of its purchase price. Unlike unregulated gambling sites with house edges exceeding 40%, Loop'D operates with strict luxury retail margins.
Furthermore, every tier within a box contains real, physical items currently resting in Loop'D vaults. No tier is empty, and the guaranteed floor ensures you always receive authentic, vaulted merchandise.
